What I need right now

How often do we ask for what’s not good for us?

Hash browns instead of oatmeal, hyped-up energy drinks instead of water, looking for a lottery prize instead of strength and instruction and discipline to handle harder work, safety while acting stupidly instead of clear thinking, vengeance instead of grace, pride in not asking for help instead of seeking the gifting of others God has placed around us, 'Lord, bless what I feel like doing' instead of 'Lord, help me do what You are blessing?...'

James reminds us of the ASSURANCE OF ANSWERED PRAYER: “If any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to him.” (James 1:5 NIV)

But when do we admit that it’s wisdom we need in the first place?

That’s a prayer God is waiting to answer.
